 Carving in the meeting house

We looked at the carving - This one is the top of a Toko Toko rakua ( a carved talking stick)
Some of the carvings were big and had stories about them and what they represented.

At the fromt of the meeting house are two big carvings - one is Whatonga  and the other Te Peeiti AweAwe

The history of the iwi is amazing and all of came away with a greater appreciation of the Rangtaane Iwi

  1. What a memorable Noho Marae - you shared so much and practiced what you learnt at school.
